Well, I've now started my third commissioned artwork this week in the form of this large canvas. The intention is that it will become a night time mountain scene and the client wants wolves in it somewhere. As usual, I do love a challenge and having been painting for little more than a year it will certainly be that!
This has so far had three base layers applied. The first coat was black gesso to prime the canvas followed by two coats of a mixture of black, cerulean, phthalo and primary blue with some indigo thrown in for good measure. Finally some Titanium white to blend in to the foreground.
I don't paint from photographs so I've no idea what this will actually look like until it all comes together. It will have trees though. I love painting trees!
